Smudge and his siblings were born outside in an industrial lot, and were about 2 months old before they were discovered. They have spent the last 2 months getting used to living with people. Smudge is now completely ready and anxious for his next big adventure in life, a home and family of his very own! He LOVES people, cats, and dogs. He is very curious, learns quickly by watching the other cat members of his foster family, and does everything the big kids do! He'll watch TV, reach for a door knob, sit in line waiting for his treat, play tag and hide and seek, and curl up with his human when he's tuckered out, purring the whole time! He loves to play with lots of toys, including interactive toys with his people! When he needs attention, he'll follow you and sit at your feet looking up into your eyes, then stretch his paws up to be picked up or to climb onto your lap or back. At night, he's the first to run to the bedroom and secure a spot on the bed! He sleeps with his head on the pillow or his foster mom's shoulder, purring and snuggling all night long. Smudge is very confident and well-adjusted, and will fit into just about any home situation. He would love it if he had other furry companions, but it's not required. He has never been around children, but if properly introduced, he'll likely do well with gentle handling. Since he had such a meager beginning in an unkind world, we require that he will never again be an outside cat. If you'd like to meet Smudge, please complete an application.
