About Barney

  • Species: Dog

Hi nice people! A cool person found me all alone and really hungry and scared! He brought me home and gave me food and hugs and kisses! His wife is a volunteer for a nice doggie rescue, so they?re going to help me find my forever home! They say that I am the biggest lover ever!! I like to lean on people and be close to them. I also am a very good kisser! I like my three foster doggies, but I?m kinda scared ?n stuff ?cuz it?s their house and they don?t like me too much maybe. I love to spend time with the two human kids watching t.v. and sleeping with them! They love me too! I LOVE to go for car rides! I love going to the park. In fact, my foster mom took me to a park and I met a new friend...a pretty border collie mix! We had so much fun together. I?m really fun-loving and silly, too. I like cars so much that I try to get into everyone I see! The humans laugh at me! I seem to be housebroken and I just really love people a whole lot and want to be with people who love me back! Even though I was so hungry before, my foster mommy can take food right out of my bowl or take treats from me and I don?t get upset. I?m just a love bug! I?m still kinda scared, but all I need is some structure (what?s that?!?) in my life and someone who loves me! I love to chase birds and lizards in the backyard and when I go on walks, I try to chase cats, so I need a home with no kitties!! I?m a pretty young boy, about two years old or so. I?m just so happy to have some people who care about me and give me good food! Do you think that you could be a good home for me? If you?d like to meet me, please fill out the questionnaire like really well, ok? It will help the nice rescue people find the best home for me. , **A note from Paw Placement: Barney is a lifetime commitment and is not disposable for any reason such as moving, marriage, divorce, lack of training, babies or any other perceived ?inconvenience? you may have with regards to Barney. Barney could easily be a 14 year commitment on your part, through the good times and the bad. If you feel that you cannot make this type of commitment, we?d rather you didn?t apply. Thanks so much and ARF!! from Barney!, UPDATE FROM FOSTER: There are a couple of developments. We have recently gotten him together with my pitbull and they are playing great together. They wrestle, chase eachother, drink out of the same bowl, etc. I have two other males we are going to introduce him to later. Would it be possible to reflect this on his bio? It says now that my dogs may not like him and he is scared. He's no longer scared and he's leash trained really well. He stays in a heel and pays no attention to dogs barking or cats walking by (Tuula, I owe this to Cesar). He also knows basic commands and has learned to play fetch. He also loves to jump on our trampoline! He's a wonderful boy!
