My sisters and I were part of a litter whose owner was giving us away FREE TO A GOOD HOME. Paw Placement stepped in because few people realize that FREE TO A GOOD HOME can often mean, Free to a home where people make an impulse decision to adopt an animal they can't afford over time. Vet work costs money - food costs money - animals require an investment of love and time. An animal who is taken for free is often done so because someone wants a pet but doesnt understand the long term responsibility of providing for that cat or dog. Also, animal testing facilities love getting animals for free. These animals are subjected to inhumane testing in cages stacked in unlit medical facilities. Thankfully, my sisters and I have avoided this fate. I am a precious little kitten who cant wait to find my forever home. |
