Domestic Short Hair (long coat) : : Female : : Senior Diluted Tortie
Tala's story is a sobering example of what happens when people make plans that don't include the animals in their lives. Tala's previous owner moved and left her to fend for herself, unspayed and uncared-for. But Tala is a very lucky girl - she was discovered by Mary, a dedicated Paw Placement volunteer. Here's what Mary has to say about this special girl: "Tala ended up having a litter of kittens in a neighbor's attic a short time after being abandoned. Another neighbor brought her and her kittens to the vet, where they stayed for several weeks. When the lady returned to the vet to get them she told the vet that she could not keep the mom and kittens, so she decided to let them go. But wait, there's more: she said this in a vet clinic and the vet techs knew just who to call, and voila! Tala's family was taken into Paw Placement! Tala is ready to look for her forever home. Tala is a very sweet gentle girl who loves to climb into a lap for a nap. She gently nudges your hand when one takes a break from petting her, and patiently waits for the attention to start again. Tala is very shy around dogs and would probably not like to live with one; although that could change as she is getting used to dog activity and noise in her foster home. Tala is a great lap kitty and loves being able to flop down for a well-deserved nap. Remember, she dealt with four kittens using her for a speed bump during their games of "chase" all day! If you are looking for a gentle, quiet girl with super-soft fur, Tala would love to meet you.
