Meet Cosmo! She (on the left) and her brother, Taz (right), are seeking a new forever-home because their current mom is having twins. Although she's quite sad to give them up, she wants them to find the best possible home. Here's what she has to say about Cosmo: "She's a very petite, shy, gentle cat and takes a bit longer to adjust to a changing environment. She displays this by hiding out, i.e. under the bed, and has in the past tried to run away. So given the chance, she would probably be curious and venture outside when no one was looking. I have always kept her as a strictly indoor cat. Loves to sleep with me every night. She is shy, but good around people, never showing aggression. Cosmo has been around a Chow mix for past 2 years and has no real issues living under a roof with Alex, our dog. Sometimes Alex would be too playful and she may hiss and puff, but this is rare. Cosmo has also been shaved once a year to cut down on the shedding of her winter coat. She does need a check up every 3-4 months to see a vet technician to have her anal glands expressed. This is very important to keep up on, because if it is not checked, she will have a rupture and this is NOT a fun experience for her or the owner, as she is miserable and would need to wear a collar until healed with meds, which she hates. Food: _ cup AM & PM. Nutro Brands or Science Diet. Ideal situation for their new home would be if both cats could find a quiet, steady environment together. They have spent their entire lives together and being that Cosmo doesn?t handle change as well (nerves/skittish), finding a home with her brother would probably make her much more comfortable. I would suggest a home without kids or dogs if possible. Strictly indoor PLEASE! These two are a great pair and the next owner will truly enjoy them, especially if they like to have pets to snuggle. Cosmo has been known to come up to Taz and sniff and clean his face/ears. They are cute together and very rarely get on each others nerves. Of course when they do, it is quite comical!"
