Jr. was rescued from a dust storm about 8 months ago roaming the streets of Phoenix. We think he's about 1 yr old and has grown to approximately 50 pounds (but could be more). He is an amazing fella and would be a great addition to any home. He is currently living in a small mother-in-law suite with another dog (female, 20 pounds, 15 years old). He is great with the other female dogs and lets her boss him around (during play time) even though she is much smaller than him. He sometimes doesn't realize his own size when leaning on her and pushes her around that way. There is also a female adult cat in the house that he likes to chase but doesn't know what to do with her once he has her cornered. I think he thinks she is a toy. She has her claws. He mainly leaves her alone when she sits still. He has been around two small children (4 and 6 years old) every day and does great. The biggest complaint is his leaning - he is a "lover" and just can't get enough affection from everyone. He has only had a few accidents, will need help with housetraining but is getting better. He knows how to use the doggy door and has free reign to the backyard. He has lots of energy and needs a big backyard and a mentor that will play with him and show him the ropes. I'm very sorry to see him go but know he has out grown his current home. I would take him in a heartbeat but have a rescue (Male Shiba Inu) of my own in an apartment (also with a small backyard).
