Ria is a sweet girl who needs to be an only dog. She is housebroken and does not jump on the furniture. I have never known her to chew anything. Ria is a good guard dog in that she only barks when someone strange enters her yard or house. She is not aggressive toward humans - she loves people, but she does not run up to strangers asking to be loved, either. Although Ria has been around small children and there haven't been any problems, I would not recommend that Ria be placed in a home with very little ones. She is approximately five years old, and is not the type of dog who likes being crawled on or having her ears pulled. Ria loves to go running with me and can easily run for 20 miles by my side. She is good on trails or on road. Although she loves running and exercise, she does not exhibit behavior problems even if she goes days without getting any exercise beyond her small yard. Of course I always recommend giving any dog a walk every day, but I want to make it clear that if life intervenes and Ria does not get a walk for a few days, she'd be okay. I have traveled with Ria extensively (once we were in a small pick-up truck for four days and over 4000 miles), we have been in hotels, we have been in strange places with strange people, and Ria has taken it all in stride. All in all Ria is incredibly easygoing. The only problem she has is with other canines. She cannot be allowed off her leash anyplace where she may have contact with other dogs. She is not aggressive toward all dogs, but you can never be sure which dog she will take offense too. Ria is fun to be around, sweet and loving. She has a great personality, and would be an incredible addition to anyone's family.
