Little Tucker came to us from the Apache Junction pound. We have all heard that cats have nine lives - well, even though Tucker is a dog, he certainly has a few extra lives as well . . . or at least, a dedicated guardian angel. Tucker was abandoned by the first humans who had him. Then he found himself on the euthanasia list at Apache Junction. Scheduled to die the following day, fate stepped in to save this wonderful little dog. You see, the pound at Apache Junction exists under terrible circumstances. They receive many many abandoned animals but dont have the population to support a strong adoption base. So, with too many animals and no adopters, Apache Junction must euthanize. When the poor animals have been put to death, they are then stored in a freezer until they can be buried. Sad sad sad. On the day that Tucker was to be euthanized, Apache Junction just didnt have the space to store anymore animals in their freezer . . . lucky for Tucker he was spared death. But just think of the many other animals who have and will lose their lives simply because people do not 1). spay and neuter their pets and/or 2). abandon animals for whatever reason. The situation around Tucker's rescue is morbid. But it deserves telling. PLEASE don't breed or buy while homeless animals die! Come see Tucker - he is a love bug who is seeking the ultimate gift . . . a HOME! Tucker loves to play with other active female dogs. This love bug loves to jump up and put his arms on your shoulders as if he's giving you a huge hug. Are you deserving of some Tucker love? More about TuckerGood with Dogs, Good with Cats
