Unknown breed / mixed (long coat) : : Male : : Senior : : Medium Cattle Dog Mix
Taz has been a special project for Paw Placement. He was among a litter of puppies that were turned into Apache Junction AC&C and he was the least socialized. Time was ticking on his life and we decided to take him and give him a chance at life....along with his brother Howie (already adopted). Taz has been quite the challenge. He is very skiddish around humans and will run away at any given chance. He loves to be around other dogs and actually has learned to be a bit more confident because of other dogs. He is very good with kitties. Taz is not the typical Cattle Dog puppy who is chewing at the heels in order to herd you. He is more of a skiddish unconfident pup. He has been crated but his foster mom no longer crates him since the worst thing he will do is potty in the house. At night Taz is a completely different dog. He can't wait to get on bed with the other dogs. This is when he forgets that he is afraid of humans and will cuddle and kiss you. He is a very sweet and loving boy, yet when you walk around him he forgets all of that and will run away. He will need an adult only or a home with older children that will not scare him (although he would never bite....he is just skiddish of fast movements). He will need a home where that will just love him and understand him for who he is and try to work with his insecurties. He will need a home with other dogs since he seems to learn best from them and feels more secure around them....kitties are fine.
