Cattle Dog/Beagle Mix

Howie is a great puppy. He was rescued with two of his brothers from the Apache Junction pound. All three of the puppies were scared of everything that crossed their paths because their life did not get off to the best start. With lots of love and care, Howie is coming around. At first he was very shy but he started to trust his foster family after only one day at our house. He now follows us and has to be in the same room as we are at all times. He is pretty easy going, loves to be cuddled and have his back scratched. Occasionally he gets a burst of energy and jumps around but then he calms down after a few minutes. Howie gets along well with the dogs in his current situation and does not bother the other small animals. We are working on potty training and crate training at night. Howie would do well in a variety of homes but he will need consistency and a family who can help him understand that life is fun and not scary all the time.
