Estrella" means "Star" in Spanish. And the name is most fitting for our little feline star. Estrella was abandoned at sometime during her life. Alone and frightened, she joined a colony of "feral" or wild cats. Arizona has a large population of feral kitties because people do not spay or neuter their cats and when these cats get pregnant, their humans abandon them. As such, the kittens grow up outdoors and without any human interaction. There are rescue groups such as Altered Tails and Animal Loving Friends (A.L.F.) who trap the feral cats, have them spayed or neutered and then release them back into their colonies. On one occassion, Altered Tails trapped Estrella and she let it be known that she was not a wild cat. She purred within her trap and reached out to human hands as if saying, "Please don't put me back outside -- I want to live with you!!" So, Paw Placement is helping to find this awesome kitty cat a good home. Please come look at our bright Star, Estrella. She will lighten up your life!
