Agave was found running down Cactus Road in Phoenix. She had no tags or collar -- and no one claimed her when she was listed on many "Lost & Found" sites. She is called Agave because we wanted to name her after a beautiful desert plant since she was found on Cactus Road. Agave is a sweetheart. She is gentle with children, enjoys the company of fellow canine companions and takes no notice of felines when they are around. Her eyes sparkle with intelligence! The best part about Agave is the she is an energetic dog but she is not hyper. She listens to her humans and with obedience training will be as docile as Lassie. Agave thrives on human attention. She can NEVER be left alone in the backyard. Agave will jump the fence if she is left outside alone -- however, once she is over the fence, she circles back to the front door and awaits for her human to appear. Paw Placment believes that Agave is a fence-jumper because she has never been loved as a family member. She has large callouses on her legs which indicate she has spent her life tied up in a backyard, exposed to the harsh Arizona elements and has never seen the tender side of human nature. Agave is a gentle girl awaiting the love of the right human. She will make a great exercise buddy and family dog -- so long as she is integrated into your home as a true member of your family.
