Maine Coon Mix
Hi, My name is Bushy. You are probably wondering why in the world I have such a funny name since as you can see, I'm really not too bushy at all any more. Well, it started about 6 or 7 years ago when I was a little kitten. My first "mom" was a little girl named Kathleen. She found me and some brothers wandering around a trash can where someone had put us one cold night. Kathleen couldn't catch my brothers but I'm not stupid, I let this lovely girl pick me up and carry me home wrapped in her torn sweater. She took me in her room and made a little bed out of doll clothes and Kleenex in a shoe box which she placed under her bed. Then she went and got a little bowl of milk and some yummy tuna for me to eat. I quickly went to sleep feeling safe and warm for the first time in a long time. After just a few minutes I woke up because I heard yelling and screaming outside the bedroom and suddenly a big mean looking man opened the door and pointed his finger at me and said "Get rid of that cat"!!!! I was so afraid I started to run out the door but the man slammed it on my leg. I cried and cried because it hurt so badly and Kathleen picked me up and ran across the street to a lady that she trusted. The lady took me in and told Kathleen not to worry. The nice lady and her husband took me to the doctor, they call it a Veterinarian, who said I had a broken leg. He wrapped it up and the nice people took me home. I grew up and had a fine bushy tail and bushy fur so that is why they called me Bushy. I was just like the King of the house. I lived with these people for many years in great happiness. I also got to see Kathleen once in awhile when she came to visit my people. She had moved away with her mother after her father went to jail. The lady she gave me to hugged and petted me, fed me and let me do just about anything I wanted, which usually was to sleep on her lap or on her bed. We had a great time. Then one day in October 2002 the lady went away and the old man was sad for a long time but he let me sit on him and sleep on him just like the lady had. I had a nice quiet life with him and the other kitties he had in his home until just a few weeks ago when he went away too, just like the lady did. Now I have to find a home again. I hope someone will love me like those people did and I know I will love them right back!!! More about BushyGood with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
