Black Smoke
Dashing, debonair, and an avid bird watcher. These words perfectly describe this sleek black guy with silver tufts flaring behind his ears. When Shadow first arrived in Paw Placement?s foster system, he was cautious around people & preferred NOT to be picked up or to cuddle. Now he?s a new man ? he?ll even paw at your leg or give it a bear hug to let you know that you must stop whatever you are doing & pick him up for some loving., Shadow still prefers to be the one who comes & sits in your lap. He does love to recline by your leg & put his arm on your leg (like a guy watching a football game!). If you like to read, he?ll calmly sit by your side, purring, while you read to him., Shadow also spends hours & hours watching birds. Maybe he is Mr. Audubon re-incarnated?, He has an interesting approach to meeting new cats, kittens & dogs ? he acts very fierce & growls & hisses; however, he really wants to be friends! He became good pals with the small dog in his foster home. You would want to use caution around dogs who tolerate cats, because Shadow?s initial hissing, growling & swatting could be dangerous with a dog who might take offense., Shadow likes to play & wrestle with the other kittens. He also loves to cart around ?fuzzy? toys & growl ferociously., True to his name, Shadow is a quiet kitty. He?ll follow you around the house without a peep, but when he wants you to pay attention to him, he?ll jump on something high so you can?t miss him or he?ll give you the aforementioned ?leg hug?., When he was a younger kitten, he was trying to jump out of the lap of a child. The child didn?t want Shadow to go & grabbed his leg to stop him. This accident resulted in a broken leg for Shadow. He is doing wonderfully now & flies through the air with the greatest of ease. On rare occasions, he might have a slight limp. The vet has assured us that Shadow?s leg is absolutely fine and will not cause him any further problems. More about ShadowGood with Cats
