German Shepard Mix

Freeway was found on the 202 freeway in Tempe when a good samaritan pulled over to help him. He instantly sat down and put up his front paws. He is very friendly and always wants to please his people. He loves to be outside but seems to be housetrained. Freeway had fleas, was filthy and had worms when he was found. He is good with the cats in his foster home ? pretty much ignores them and lets the kitten play with his tail. He doesn?t seem to be suffering from arthritis or dysphasia ? he does not show his age much. He does like the dog park ? he gets along well with other dogs. He growls low when they first meet to let them know his boundaries but he wags his tail the whole time and never appears aggressive. He does not exhibit any alpha tendencies ? he was easy to accept the dog in his foster home as the leader and did not challenge him. He is a little shy of fast movements ? his foster mom thinks he may have been kicked or hit. Freeway is oh-so friendly and affectionate. He sits at his foster moms feet and raises one or both paws ? as if to say, ?Hi! Are you my new mom?? Freeway would do well in a variety of homes. I can't say enough great things about this amazing dog.
