Sweet sweet Sara! Sara was scheduled to be euthanized at AC&C on the morning of 7/03/04. She showed no emotions and layed on the concrete floor completely full of skin tightening mats. All I could think was this little girl did not deserve to die in pain and like this. Sara was then taken to Petsmart grooming where we quickly discovered that her hair was not only matted, but had wire integrated throughout her fur and tied around her neck. A huge hearted employee at Petsmart named Sara took her in and quickly releaved her of all her pain. In dedication of this employee we named this sweet girl after her. You could tell just how good she felt with her new hair cut because when she walked in she could barely take a step and when she left she was not only pulling on the leash but pranced right out of Petsmart. Sara is blind due to the fact that her tear ducts have dried up. Because of this she will need drops placed in her eyes 3-4 times a day to keep them moist Sara will follow you wherever you go....call it bat radar. She is so sweet and loves to ride in the car. Because of the way we found her we would like for her to be comfortable and feel safe for the rest of her life. Therefore, we must request that she go to an adult only home or one where the children are over the age of 8-10. Sara is not a nippy or aggressive girl...instead she is a happy giddy girl. From here on out she deserves the best!
