Zeus was found on the Carefree Highway running through traffic. At that time Zeus only weighed about 50 lbs. and was skin and bones. You could see all of his ribs and his hip bone was sticking out. His foster dad thinks someone tried to cut off his tail themselves. Zeus has now put on a lot of weight and eats like a horse. He will eat anything you give him and some things that you wouldn?t want him to have like a whole cantaloupe. While Zeus is a sweet boy and enjoys the company of fellow canines, he is an alpha dog and needs to be the bossiest dog in the house. As such Zeus should be the only dog or go to a home with another submissive dog. Zeus is doggie door trained but we are sure this smart pup will house-train in a jiffy should no doggie door be present. Zeus loves humans - he may be a little timid initially around strangers but quickly warms up once he knows that there is no threat. Zeus also INHALES his food ~ a sure sign that he is not used to being provided for kindly by humans. Through time and training he will understand that he will never be hungry or loveless again. So, if you want a pup who likes to curl up near his human at night and loves trips to the doggie park, Zeua is your guy. He anxiously awaits a home where loving structure is a constant. |
