Papillion Mix

Bruno came to Animal Care & Control as a stray and being alone in a cage did not bring out the best in him. One of the clinic employees felt there was more to this little guy than fear and took him off the euthanasia list. All it took was a couple of days of relaxation in the clinic and Bruno was enjoying human contact again. Although Bruno thrives on human loving, he prefers not to be picked up. After a couple of hours in a home setting with Paw Placement, Bruno is completely relaxed and enjoying the gentle touches from his foster mom. He is currently being fostered with 3 other dogs and kitties and doing even better than had expected. Bruno is going to need a quiet home without children in order to be happy. Bruno has the spirit of a puppy and his youthful spirit is quite infectious. He is completey crate-trained and will often go in his crate if there is too much activity going on around him. Although Bruno will need weekly brushing, he probably won't let you do it for very long. He seems to be afraid of a brush for some reason. Bruno's ideal home would be with a older adult home who is experienced with Papillions.
