Matts, tangles and knots, oh my! This is what poor Duchess' coat looked like as she sat in her kennel at AC&C. Not only was her coat completely disheveled, but her poor ears must have weighed a pound each with all of the filth tangled in them. Although Duchess has clearly never been groomed or pampered, her eyes still shine when humans are near and her little knub tail wags back and forth. She was listed at the pound as a stray - if Paw Placement had to guess by the condition we found Duchess in, we'd say that her previous owner threw her in the backyard, where she lived a lonely life of neglect. Its a good thing she escaped whatever uncaring person had her before because she now has a new haircut AND a lease on life. Duchess is a sweet cocker that is eager to please. She is a very active girl and will thrive with some basic obedience training. Right now she feels like she has to be on your lap or kissing your face every second of the day. Duchess gets along with both cats and dogs which makes her an ideal pet for any home. She does think that every meal is her last which can irretate other dogs in the home. Duchess will thrive on structure, daily walks and trips to the doggie park. More about DuchessGood with Dogs, Good with Cats
