Chauncy was on his way to Animal Care & Control to be surrendered by his previous owners when a volunteer from another rescue group happened to mention how cute their dog was. The woman told the volunteer to take her dog she didn't want him and handed over the leash. The volunteer noticed a Paw Placement volunteer and asked if we could take Chauncy into our system since they did not have room for him at this time...we were happy to help! Chauncy's fur was completely matted to the skin. Although the physical neglect was evident, you would never have been able to tell by Chauncy's happy go lucky personality.
