About Taffy

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 128
Like all groups dedicated to the rescue of dogs from euthanasia, Paw Placement has limited space for the lives that hang in the balance at Maricopa County's Animal Care and Control facilities. Every day the list gets longer as more dogs are surrendered by unwanting owners or found running the streets as victims of neglect. Paw Placement had room for one dog, we made our choice and left the AC&C. But one little face in Kennel 404 kept coming back to haunt one of our volunteers, so a call was made to AC&C in the last hour and little Taffy was given a second chance at life. Taffy is a very happy little girl who will smother you with doggie kisses. Taffy loves taking walks and appears to be leashtrained and housebroken. She is being crate trained and will learn Basic Commands shortly. Initially she shows fear aggression with new dogs, but given the proper time to observe and trust the other dogs in the home, she adjusts nicely. Taffy seems fine with the kitties and shows no interest either way. Although currently in a state of neglect, Miss Taffy has the most beautiful golden locks! Proper nutrition and an indoor life with the human of her dreams will be all this girl needs for a total rehabilitation. Taffy follows her foster mom everywhere when possible, so she will need a human who spends a fair amount of time at home, or better yet one who takes their pup with them to run errands and buy a Starbucks coffee! (You know they have doggy biscuits at the Starbucks drive thru window:) If you are searching for a new affectionate, silly, playful, moderately active new friend, Miss Taffy is your girl!
