Rotweiller

We pulled Ruby off of the euthanasia list at Animal Care & Control. She was nothing but skin and bones and her body showed that she had given birth to some litters. Her eyes were lifeless and when a volunteer bent down to talk to her, she leaned against her kennel but refused to make eye-contact. Over the course of time, Ruby slowly gained her confidence around humans, began to gain some weight and pretty soon, she was a beautiful, self-assured rottweiler. Paw Placement adopted Ruby out once but she was returned because her adopters could not provide the structure she needed. Ruby is now in foster care on a ranch and is doing marvelously! She is one smart girl! She will make an ideal large-property dog and needs much space in which to burn off her rottie energy. And when her energy is spent, Ruby definitely thrives on human attention - all she wants to do is love and be loved by someone special who understands the rottweiler breed and is willing to work with her intelligence.
