Golden Retriever/Border Collie Mix

Reilly was taken away from his mother at 4 weeks of age. This separation was much too early and Reilly was not able to learn the valuable doggie social skills that come with frolicking with litter mates and being taught boundaries by his momma. As such, Reilly needs an experienced pet person to adopt him. He needs continued lessons in socialization with other animals and with strangers and responds very well to positive reinforcement. Reilly has been fully obedience trained and recently has been attending group training classes. He knows "sit," "heel," "down," "come," and "stay." He wants to please his owners, but needs to be patiently shown how. Reilly has flourished under the experienced handling of his current foster. Reilly is a happy, intelligent dog who loves snow, hiking, playing ball and running. He would be great at agility training and he loves to entertain himself by throwing toys in the air and catching them. This playful pup overflows with personality and loves playing ball with older gentle children.
